OBJEK is a Cape Town based architecture and interior design studio established in 2014 by directors Nic Smith and Andre Loock.
The studio specialises in contemporary residential architecture, boutique developments and interior environments that are carefully considered, contextually responsive and enduring in their simplicity.
Our work is driven by a belief that good design should feel effortless, balancing proportion, light, materiality and functionality to create spaces that are both refined and highly liveable. Each project is approached as a collaborative process between client, architect and builder, with careful attention given to both the broader vision and the finer details.
From early concept design through to project completion, OBJEK provides a full architectural service tailored to the specific requirements of each project. While every brief is unique, our approach remains consistent: thoughtful design, clear communication and a strong focus on delivering well-resolved buildings that age gracefully over time.
Based in Cape Town, the studio’s work is shaped by the landscape, climate and urban character of the city, with projects ranging from bespoke homes and renovations to multi-unit residential developments.
